Dive Operator Site Listing Criteria
Any dive operator who has an active web site will be included in the corresponding diving location list. Web sites are reviewed on a one by one basis.
If any web site fails to load for a period of time it will be removed from the
diving location list. Dive agencies are not listed, only direct dive operators being either a company or a single individual.
Some dive operators have more than one web site (mirror sites), but only one will be included in the list.
Secondary sites related to the same operation will not be listed. If you know
of any web site that is owned by the same operator please let me know at
frank@cozumeldiving.com so I can make the appropiate correction.
When a single dive operator has different web sites for different locations, for example one for
Playa del Carmen and another for Cozumel, the site that represents their home base
is the one that will be listed.
Dive operator´s quality service is not considered for an operator to be listed. Some operators are better
than others. Divers will have the final word on which one satifies their diving needs and expectations, and sometimes this is only achieved
by trial and error, or by visiting diver´s forums and/or word of mouth recommendations.
Diving Location List Content:
Dive operator´s diving location lists content consist of:
Dive Operator/Link , alphabetical operator´s name and web site link. If the name/link is followed by an asterisk (*), it means that the dive operator is certified by the Mexico´s Ministry of Tourism.
Agency , primary certification agency according to web site. If it is missing on the list, none has been specified
on the dive operator´s web site.
E-Mail , primary operation´s email address. If email is missing contact is done through a web form on web site.
Phone , primary local phone. Only local phones can be listed.
If the phone is missing it means that the operator
did not posted any, or the phone listed on their site is not a local number (example: a US based number).
800 numbers have not been included since these are not available outside the US or Canada.
The certifying Agency shown is determined if most instructions are based on the listed Agency , or if professionals refered on the web site are certified under that Agency ; or, if there are several agencies, the posted Agency is seleted because it is listed before other agencies or it has a larger image than the other agencies on the web site.
